Why the ACMJ Endorses Dr. Ron Paul

Bishop Caleb Kinley, General Overseer

Apostolic Conference of Messianic Jews (ACMJ)

*Special Notice: The Apostolic Conference of Messianic Jews (ACMJ) is not a non-profit denomination or religious organization in whose political actions can be legally restricted by the government (i.e. political activism limitations due to a 501c3 and similar tax exempt related restraints).  The ACMJ is under the direct headship of Almighty G-d and is a sovereign entity with guaranteed protection by the US Constitution from the government.

If alive today, the founding fathers of this once great nation would be deeply moved and in awe of Dr. Ron Paul for his seasoned zeal to the very Constitution they framed.  Dr. Paul, a humble man of great inner strength and personal integrity is also a bold carrier of courage that knows no bounds.  For example, without fear of the unconstitutional establishment that consistently plagues our country and others, Dr. Paul bravely stepped forward at the Saint Anselm College CNN GOP debate on June 5th, 2007 and announced to the world that he alone is “The Champion of the Constitution“.  What a bright ray of hope and inspiration to the American people, the true patriots who have waited so long for the genuine article to come bursting forth.  From the very moment those goose bumping words of immense power left Dr. Paul’s lips, America knew she had finally found her man.

The simple freedom message of Dr. Paul strongly resonates across oceans and seas and leaps from one continent to another.  It is no longer just an American message of inspiration, freedom, and hope, but a message now spread around the globe on a grand scale. From England to France, Japan to China, and from Italy to Sweden, the once still voices of freedom are uniting, or rather, reuniting with their American brothers and sisters.  Indeed, the Ron Paul Freedom Revolution is rising.

Imagine someone who refers to himself as the Champion of the Constitution and has the voting record, backed by concrete evidence to support his noble statement that will one day be rendered legendary and historic.  We have all that and more in Congressman Ron Paul.  Dr. Paul has no need to manipulate or wiggle his way around the issues, he owns the issues.  And that’s why he is so feared by the Main Stream Media (MSM) and the neocon establishment.  There is not one candidate, Republican, Democrat, Green Party or Independent that knows more about the economy and the Constitution than Ron Paul.  And that’s pretty pathetic.  His immaculate voting record puts all other Presidential candidates and wannebee candidates to open shame.  And that’s pretty pathetic too because each Presidential candidate should know the Constitution and the economy like the back of their hands.  Every one of our elected politicians took the same oath as Dr. Paul.  However, he is the only candidate who has truly and without regret honored the oath over and over again.  Lest we forget, there’s not one Presidential candidate from either party even close to Dr. Paul when voting records are compared to the Constitution and Bill of Rights.  Is there one other active Congressman or Congresswoman who will bravely stand faithfully and true with Dr. Ron Paul and the Constitution?   We’ll see soon enough.

In Congress, Presidential candidate Ron Paul is known as Dr. No because he votes against any bill he believes violates the Constitution.  It is often said of Dr. Paul that lobbyists know not to approach him because he never supports bills that do not cut the Constitutional mustard.  In the words of former Treasury Secretary William Simon, “Dr. Paul is the “one exception to the gang of 535” on Capitol Hill.

Dr. Paul is a devout Christian who lives his faith and has been married to the same woman for over fifty years.  He and his wife Carol have five children, 18 grandchildren and one great grandchild.  This is not to say that the ACMJ would only endorse or vote for a Christian as President of the United States.  A candidate’s personal denomination or lack thereof should not be the litmus test given for any position in the political jungle.  The litmus test that should be given by absolute necessity for our nation’s survival must be one of a strict adherence to the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.  Anything less would be just another Bush or Clinton, two rotten pea’s in the same rotten pod.  The American people must be protected from those officials who would force tyranny upon us in the form of unconstitutional laws and unconstitutional power grabs as seen in the current White House regime.  After all, how many times have you heard President Bush invoke G-d in public only to turn around the next day and manipulate evidence to attack Iraq or publicly deny that the U.S. willfully participates in torture (CIA Chief to drag Whitehouse into Torture Cover-up)?  The truth of the matter is that the Constitution is the supreme law of the land, above even the President himself.  Unlike Bush and every one of the current presidential candidates, Congressman Paul will be obedient to the Constitution and we the people will rule once again.

Unfortunately, many Christians on the far right of the political spectrum consistently push for the negation of the Constitution whether they realize it or not.  They've done this by blindly following the Bush Push to destroy the Constitution through unconstitutional wars and laws such as the ungodly and unjust pre-emptive strike doctrine.  They fail to realize the full impact of the Real ID Act(many Christians and Messianic Jews believe the Real ID is the mark of the beast or one step away from it).  However, the immediate threat that needs to be reigned in is the continual infringement of our Constitutional rights, our economy, illegal immigration, and our foolish foreign policy.  Congressman Paul believes that all lawful citizens, including people of faith should be free from government interference, have a sound economy, a noninterventionist foreign policy, and so does the ACMJ.

Dr. Chuck Baldwin, in his article entitled “An Appeal to my Fellow Pastors” had this to say about Congressman Ron Paul in regards to the Constitution, “In fact, adherence to the Constitution protects our freedom of speech and assembly; our freedom of worship; our right to keep and bear arms; our right to a trial by jury; the right to be secure in our own homes against police overreach; our right to witness for Christ in public, as a Christian; the right to own property; the right to not be deprived of life or property without due process of law; the right to face our accusers, and the right to keep government local and limited.  Keeping government local and limited is the cornerstone doctrine of American government. Ron Paul understands this more than any other candidate running today.  Most of the problems that we are now dealing with socially, culturally, financially, etc., stem from America abandoning the basic founding principle that "the government that governs least governs best."

Additionally, Dr. Paul is an OB/GYN doctor and he has delivered over four thousand babies.  He has also been a strong pro-life advocate for many, many years.  In 2005 Dr. Paul proposed the “Sanctity of Life Act” and again in 2007.  Being a pro-life advocate is not a new conviction that he recently grasped just for the sake of winning votes in the upcoming elections.  A little known fact is that when Dr. Paul was first elected to Congress he introduced the “Human Life Amendment”, about two years after Roe versus Wade was first initiated.  He has not wavered or flip-flopped on this issue, ever.

On December 27th, 2007 Dr. Paul issued a statement in regards to the “Right to Life”, "The right of an innocent, unborn child to life is at the heart of the American ideals of liberty. My professional and legislative record demonstrates my strong commitment to this pro-life principle.  "Under our Constitution, the states have the duty to protect citizens against murder, and protecting the unborn from having their right to life violated is no exception.  "I find it unconscionable that the Supreme Court overrules states when they pass pro-life legislation. As president, I will fight to end this judicial tyranny.  "Many talk about being pro-life. In Congress, I am the lead sponsor of HR 2597 the ‘Sanctity of Life Act’ and a similar bill, HR 300 the ‘We the People Act.’ Both bills would negate the effect of Roe v Wade by removing the ability of federal courts to interfere with state legislation that protects life. My bills could pass by a simple majority vote and allow states such as Michigan and South Carolina to end abortion immediately.”  Source:  http://tinyurl.com/23ojol

The challenge has been issued.  Will any one of the 2008 Presidential candidates step up to the plate in support of Dr. Paul’s bill?  It’s time to put up or shut up.

Another core issue (and there are so many) that helped influence our decision to endorse Dr. Paul over any other candidate is his quest to bring our nation back on track with something Americans haven’t seen in 50+ years, fiscal responsibility.  It appears that our current low approval rated government believes that money grows on trees (my mother taught me that it doesn’t) to the tune of over three billion dollars per day.  These are borrowed dollars loaned (i.e. buying up our debt) to America by China (BY CHINA!) and other wealthy countries with interest.  I have two children under ten years old and they already owe taxes in excess of $39,000.00 each.  This is unacceptable and inexcusable!  Our heavy duty turncoat D.C. spenders appear to be inexorable zombie like rag dolls in their quest to collapse our borders and bankrupt America by stealing from “we the people”.  Sadly, there’s no end in near sight (no pun intended) without first voting to put Ron Paul into the Whitehouse.

Consequently, Dr. Paul practices what he preaches.  Each year he refuses to participate in the lucrative Congressional pension fund and he always returns a portion of his Congressional office budget back to the U.S. Treasury.  One way of becoming fiscally responsible is to allow competing currencies authorized by the Constitution such as gold and silver into the free market.  This will not only open up competition in the free market, but it will also help dovetail the counterfeit fiat currency printed by the unconstitutional Federal Reserve and bring actual value to our money.  By bringing back the gold and silver, we systematically remove the power held over us by the non US citizens, i.e. international bankers.

If you are not aware of our nation’s fiscal shortcomings, the most serious threat to our country’s survival, then we suggest that you continue to read this endorsement of Dr. Paul and watch the short videos by following the links provided.

"I would argue that the most serious threat to the United States is not someone hiding in a cave in Afghanistan or Pakistan but our own fiscal irresponsibility." David Walker, the nation’s top accountant and Comptroller General of the United States.

Side Bar: David Walker is a prudent man and a highly respected public official. As comptroller general of the United States he runs he Government Accountability Office, the GAO, which audits the government's books and serves as the investigative arm of the U.S. Congress. He has more than 3,000 employees, a budget of a half a billion dollars, and a message he considers urgent.  He's totaled up our government's income, liabilities, and future obligations and concluded that our current standard of living is unsustainable unless some drastic action is taken. And he's not alone. It's been called the "dirty little secret everyone in Washington knows" – a set of financial truths so inconvenient that most elected officials don't even want to talk about them, which is exactly why David Walker does. “Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke validated much of Walker's take on the situation at congressional hearings this year, and so did ranking Republicans and Democrats on the Senate Budget Committee. Senator Kent Conrad of North Dakota is the chairman. Sen. Conrad thinks David Walker is "providing an enormous public service." Asked if he agrees with Walker’s figures and his projections, Sen. Conrad says, "I do. You know, I mean we could always question the precise nature of this projection or that projection. But, that misses the point. The larger story that he is telling is exactly correct." Conrad acknowledges that most people in Washington are aware how bad the situation is. "They know in large measure here, Republicans and Democrats, that we are on a course that doesn't add up," the senator tells Kroft.”  Kroft Interview Source link:  http://tinyurl.com/yo9tq4

In 1966, Alan Greenspan, the former Federal Reserve Chair wrote in an essay entitled “Gold and Economic Freedom” said, "The abandonment of the gold standard made it possible for the welfare statists to use the banking system as a means to an unlimited expansion of credit. In the absence of the gold standard, there is no way to protect savings from confiscation through inflation. There is no safe store of value. Deficit spending is simply a scheme for the hidden confiscation of wealth. Gold stands in the way of this insidious process. It stands as a protector of property rights. If one grasps this, one has no difficulty in understanding the statists' antagonism toward the gold standard."

Congressman Paul had this to say about Mr. Greenspan, “Today, however, Mr. Greenspan has become one of those central planners he once denounced, and his views on fiat currency have changed accordingly.  As the ultimate insider, he cannot or will not challenge the status quo, no matter what the consequences to the American economy.  To renounce the fiat system now would mean renouncing the Fed itself, and his entire public career with it.  The only question is whether history will properly reflect the destructive nature of Mr. Greenspan’s tenure.

I had an opportunity to ask him about his change of heart when he appeared before the House Financial Services committee last week.  Although Mr. Greenspan is a master of evasion, he was surprisingly forthright in his responses to me.  In short, he claimed he was wrong about his predictions of calamity for the fiat U.S. dollar that the Federal Reserve does a good job of essentially mimicking a gold standard, and that inflation is well under control.  He even made the preposterous assertion that the Fed does not facilitate government expansion and deficit spending.  In other words, he utterly repudiated the arguments he made 40 years ago.  Yet this begs the question: If he was so wrong in the past, why should we listen to him now?

First, the Federal Reserve does not mimic a gold standard by any measure.  The clearest example of this lies in our current account deficit, which our fiat currency encourages.  Under a gold standard we would not have exchange rate distortions between the Chinese renminbi and the U.S. dollar, for example.  True currency stability is impossible when fiat dollars can be produced at will and foreign lenders bankroll our deficits.

Second, inflation is a much greater problem than the federal government admits.  Health care, housing, and energy are three areas where costs have risen dramatically.  The producer price index is rising at the fastest rate in seven years.  Bond prices are rising.  To suggest that rapid expansion of the money supply and artificially low interest rates do not ultimately cause price inflation is absurd.

Third, Fed policies do indeed have adverse political ramifications.  Fiat currency and big government go hand-in-hand.  Without a gold standard, Congress is free to spend recklessly and fall back on monetary expansion to pay the bills.  Politically, it’s easier to print new dollars than raise taxes or borrow overseas.  The Fed in essence creates paper reserves that enable Congress to undertake spending measures that far exceed tax revenues.  The ill effects of this process are not felt by the politicians, who can always find popular support for new spending.  Average Americans suffer, however, when their dollars are “confiscated through inflation,” as Mr. Greenspan termed it.

It’s not enough to question the wisdom of Mr. Greenspan.  Americans should question why we have a central bank at all, and whose interests it serves.  The laws of supply and demand work better than any central banker to determine both the correct supply of money in the economy and the interest rate at which capital is available- without the political favoritism and secrecy that characterize central banks.  Americans should not tolerate the manipulation of our economy and the inflation of our currency by an unaccountable institution.”

If we’re going to save America our foreign policy must change.  If our current foreign policy continues as is, we could actually find ourselves being the aggressive instigators of WWIII.  Just in case the veracity of this statement has not yet set in, China and Russia are two countries that no longer fear America thanks to the warmongering neocons at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.  America, and by default, innocent Americans, would suffer greatly should WWIII become a reality.  The war and its battles will not be one that’s contained and fought overseas in a third world country that poses no threat to our national security.   Instead, it will be “we the people” on American soil whose homes are bombed and destroyed, our children blown to bits and pieces, and our country lying in ruins, perhaps with large masses of land and once thriving cities left uninhabitable.  But don’t worry about the political neocons because they are well protected in their tax payer funded underground bunkers and shelters.

Yes, our military would retaliate with a shock and awe campaign far greater than the one shown on FauxNews and CNN during the opening of the Iraq invasion.  However, the damage here on our own soil will be a tragedy that could have been easily prevented with a friendlier foreign policy of nonintervention.  Dr. Ron Paul is the man most committed to hit this horrible, un-American, unconstitutional foreign policy head-on.  Dr. Paul once stated, “Our badly misguided foreign policy has already driven this country's economy to the brink of bankruptcy with one war based on misinformation.  It is unthinkable that despite lack of any evidence of a threat, some are still charging headstrong into yet another war in the Middle East when what we ought to be doing is coming home from Iraq, coming home from Korea, coming home from Germany and defending our own soil.  We do not need to be interfering in the internal affairs of other countries and waging war when honest trade, friendship, and diplomacy are the true paths to peace and prosperity.”

On November 14th, 2007 Tim Dickinson of Rolling Stone Magazine asked Dr. Paul, “What do you make of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and current U.S. posturing toward Iran?”  Dr. Paul replied, “He's a loudmouth, and he hurts their cause. But we help his cause when we gang up against him. When we pass sanctions against him, the dissidents in Iran who would like to get rid of him rally around him for nationalistic reasons.  We get hysterical over a guy who doesn't have a single weapon, and nobody's proven that he's ever violated the arms-nonproliferation treaty. Matter of fact, the International Atomic Energy Agency is going to have an agreement with him by the end of the year. That's why you have all of this warmongering going on: It is to try to find an excuse to start bombing him before they prove that he doesn't have a chance of having a weapon. That's exactly what we did with Iraq. I'm scared to death they're getting ready to do that with Iran.”

Dickinson then asked Dr. Paul, “What would a Giuliani presidency mean for our national security?”  Dr. Paul answered, “If someone is unhappy with the Bush policy, they would find Giuliani's would be even more extreme. But since Giuliani is so anxious to go to war, somebody ought to ask him why he didn't go when he was called up instead of ducking it like some of those other chicken hawks — he took, what, four deferrals?  The kids today are expected to go because Giuliani likes this stuff. But whether it's Cheney or Giuliani, these guys think it's quite proper to go to war when they feel like it. But they never had to expose themselves.”

Dr. Paul knows that Yeshua (Jesus) said “Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of G-d” (Matthew 5:9, KJV).  It appears no Presidential candidate from either party “truly” desires to be a peacemaker, except of course for Dr. Ron Paul.  The rest of the candidates continue to push the unconstitutional, CFR, aggressive neocon war-drums.  It’s actually hard to say what country would be the next target if someone other than Dr. Paul wins the Presidency in 2008.  Let us pray that Dr. Paul will become the next President of the USA.

Congressman Paul is not only a ten term congressman from Texas, he is also an Air Force and Air National Guard veteran who believes in a strong national defense and believes our wounded soldiers deserve the very best of care, and so do we .  On November 10th, 2003 Dr. Paul stated, You may have read about conditions at Fort Stewart, Georgia, where hundreds of injured reserve and National Guard soldiers are housed in deplorable conditions and forced to wait months just to see a doctor. These soldiers made huge sacrifices, leaving their families and jobs to fight in Iraq. Now they find themselves living in hot, crowded, unsanitary barracks and waiting far too long to see overworked doctors. This is hardly the heroes’ welcome they might have expected. Only an expose in a major newspaper brought attention to their plight, prompting an embarrassed Defense department to rush additional doctors to the base.

Many of these men and women expressed shock at their treatment. They assumed wounded soldiers returning from Iraq would receive priority treatment, given the “support the troops” rhetoric coming from Washington. Their complaints went ignored, however, until the media became involved.  Similar mistreatment of soldiers has been evident throughout our occupation of Iraq. Some wounded soldiers convalescing at Walter Reed hospital in Washington were forced to pay for hospital meals from their own pockets! Other soldiers returning stateside for a two-week liberty had to buy their own airfare home from the east coast. Still others have paid for desert boots, night vision goggles, and other military necessities with personal funds. It’s shocking that our troops are forced to pay for basic items that should be supplied to them or paid from the defense budget.

Perhaps the most shameful mistreatment of our veterans is in the area of concurrent receipt benefits. Existing federal rules force disabled veterans to give up their military retirement pay in order to receive VA disability benefits. This means every VA disability dollar paid to a veteran is deducted from his retirement pay, effectively creating a “disabled veterans tax.” No other group of federal employees is subject to this unfair standard; in every other case disability pay is viewed as distinct from standard retirement pay.

For years veterans have fought for concurrent receipt benefits to no avail. Last week Congress finally passed a very limited concurrent receipt law, but the change is unlikely to satisfy those disabled veterans who need benefits the most. Under the new partial concurrent receipt bill, only those veterans in essence deemed “disabled enough” will qualify; this means roughly two-thirds of disabled veterans will not receive concurrent receipt benefits at all. Even severely disabled veterans who do qualify may never enjoy their long-sought relief, because the bill passed by Congress takes ten years to phase in. How sad that some disabled soldiers will die in the next decade without seeing a penny of their concurrent receipt benefits.”

Not only will Dr. Paul take care of our veterans better than any other presidential candidate, he will move quickly to bring our brave soldiers home immediately.  Dr. Paul wants to reunite husbands with their wives, mothers and fathers, sisters and brothers.  He has a message to the courageous soldiers currently stationed in harm’s way; help is on the way.  Dr. Paul wants to bring all of our soldiers stationed around the world back home to their loved ones.  This will not only save lives, it will save the taxpayers billions of dollars each year.

Illegal immigration is a great cause for concern to the taxpayer and an issue that must be dealt with immediately.  Congressman Ron Paul has a strong voting record against any form of amnesty for illegal immigrants.  Congressman Paul would even stop birthright citizenship, end welfare for illegal aliens and more.  Here is what Dr. Paul had to say about Illegal immigration.

The talk must stop. We must secure our borders now. A nation without secure borders is no nation at all. It makes no sense to fight terrorists abroad when our own front door is left unlocked. This is my six point plan”:

  • Physically secure our borders and coastlines. We must do whatever it takes to control entry into our country before we undertake complicated immigration reform proposals.
  • Enforce visa rules.  Immigration officials must track visa holders and deport anyone who overstays their visa or otherwise violates U.S. law.  This is especially important when we recall that a number of 9/11 terrorists had expired visas.
  • No amnesty.  Estimates suggest that 10 to 20 million people are in our country illegally. That’s a lot of people to reward for breaking our laws.
  • No welfare for illegal aliens.  Americans have welcomed immigrants who seek opportunity, work hard, and play by the rules.  But taxpayers should not pay for illegal immigrants who use hospitals, clinics, schools, roads, and social services.
  • End birthright citizenship.  As long as illegal immigrants know their children born here will be citizens, the incentive to enter the U.S. illegally will remain strong.
  • Pass true immigration reform.  The current system is incoherent and unfair.  But current reform proposals would allow up to 60 million more immigrants into our country, according to the Heritage Foundation.  This is insanity.  Legal immigrants from all countries should face the same rules and waiting periods.

On December 28th, 2007; Jerome Corsi, a WorldNet Daily staff writer wrote that Ron Paul told radio talk show hosts at the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) that “the Security and Prosperity Partnership and a European Union-style merger with Mexico and Canada were the reasons the Bush administration was allowing U.S. borders to remain wide open some six years into a war on terror.

"Borders exist and we don't want to head toward a North American Union," he told talk show listeners. "The promise of amnesty, free medical care, free education, social security, birth right citizenship all make the incentives so great that we attract illegal immigrants, even at the cost of losing jobs for Americans and messing up our economy."  Source Link: http://tinyurl.com/2a6egd

The ACMJ fully supports Congressman Ron Paul in his bid for President.  We urge our Messianic brothers and sisters and people of all faiths to take up the cause and be part of the Ron Paul Revolution.  By working together we can help change America by voting for Ron Paul as our next President.  A vote for any other candidate would be a vote to continue business as usual in D.C..  And business as usual is something we cannot afford to feed or perpetuate any longer.
